Royce White of Iowa State selected by Houston in the NBA Draft

(AP) -- The Houston Rockets have taken Iowa State forward Royce White with the 16th pick in the NBA draft, their second of three first-round selections.

The 6-foot-8, 270-pound White initially enrolled at Minnesota, then transferred to Iowa State, where he played his lone college season.

He averaged 13.4 points, 9.3 rebounds and five assists per game last season.
