(AP) -- The Los Angeles Kings' stunning postseason run shows no signs of slowing.
The Western Conference's eighth seeds are in a commanding position after roaring out to a 2-0 lead in their second-round series against St. Louis with gritty road wins that left the hard-nosed Blues criticizing their own work ethic and defense.
For a franchise with no Stanley Cup championships and just one playoff series victory in the previous 18 years, the current Kings are making the toughest grind in hockey look easy.
They're 6-1 in the playoffs against the West's top two teams heading into Game 3 on Thursday night.
Yet the Kings know it's not nearly as simple as it looked in Vancouver and St. Louis. Anze Kopitar says there's no chance of overconfidence against the powerful Blues.
