(AP) - Gearing up for its first season in the Southeastern Conference, Missouri has played its annual Black and Gold game to conclude its spring schedule.

With quarterback James Franklin sidelined after having surgery on his right shoulder last month, Corbin Berkstresser and Ashton Glaser emerged as the top two contenders.

Berkstresser finished Saturday completing 13 of 20 passes for 187 yards.

The 6-3, 225-pound redshirt freshman is from Lee's Summit, Mo.

Glaser threw for 213 yards and two TDs on 14-of-25 passing on Saturday.

The 6 foot, 205-pound junior is from Springdale, Ark.
