(AP) -- State lawmakers have taken a break from legislating to congratulate the Missouri Tigers on their victory in the Big 12 men's basketball tournament.

House members lined up in their chamber Tuesday to shake hands with the Tigers before the players headed to a public autograph session in the Capitol.

Coach Frank Haith, who led Missouri to 30 wins in his first season, led lawmakers in a brief chant of "MIZ-ZOU" from the dais.

Haith praised his players as good athletes, good students and "really, really good people."

The Tigers' schedule for their day in Jefferson City also included dinner at the Governor's Mansion with Gov. Jay Nixon.
