ATLANTA (AP) - Top-seeded Kentucky cruised into the Final Four for the second year in a row, blitzing Baylor with a dominating first half on the way to an 82-70 rout at the South Regional on Sunday.
Michael Kidd-Gilchrist scored 19 points and the Wildcats (36-2) took control with an early 16-0 run.
Kentucky led 42-22 at halftime and Baylor (30-8) never got any closer than 10 the rest of the way.
Kentucky will face state rival Louisville in the first national semifinal at New Orleans Saturday.
The Wildcats will be seeking their first national title since 1998.
ST. LOUIS (AP) - Tyshawn Taylor came out of his slump in a big way, scoring 22 points to lead Kansas to an 80-67 victory over North Carolina on Saturday that returned the Jayhawks to the Final Four for the first time since winning it all in 2008.
Four other Kansas players finished in double figures as the Jayhawks (31-6) scored the last 12 points of the game.
Player of the year candidate Thomas Robinson had 18 and nine rebounds for the second-seeded Jayhawks, who will face Ohio State in the Final Four on Saturday night.
