Jaime Garcia looks sharp as the Cardinals stop the Nationals 9-0

(AP) -- Jaime Garcia struck out nine in fivem innings to lead the St. Louis Cardinals to a 9-0 victory over the Washington Nationals on Thursday.

Garcia struck out two batters in each of the first four innings and didn't allow a walk.

 He gave up three hits.


Tyler Greene hit his first homer of the spring - a two-run shot that put the Cardinals up 6-0. Yadier Molina had an RBI single.
