Mizzou Basketball will make its 25th appearance in the NCAA Tournament when it takes the court Friday in Omaha.

The Tigers are 22-24 all-time in their previous 24 appearances, and have reached as far as the Elite Eight four times under three coaches - 1976 and 1994 under Norm Stewart, in 2002 under Quin Snyder and most recently in 2009 under Mike Anderson

The 2012 Tournament appearance marks Mizzou's 4th-consecutive NCAA bid, which is tied for the 3rd-longest streak in school history, behind the record of five, accomplished twice: first from 1986-90 and again from 1999-2003...

This marks the 3rd time in MU history the Tigers have carried a #2 seed.

The NSU Spartans earned the No. 15 seed in the West Region after winning their first-ever Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference Championship with a 73-70 victory over Bethune-Cookman.

The team is 25-9 on the season, marking the first time since the 1994-95 season that the Spartans have recorded 25 wins. Norfolk State will be making its first-ever NCAA Division I Basketball Tournament appearance since the school moved up to Division I in 1997.

The Tigers and the Spartans have both played Navy this season; Mizzou earned an 84-59 victory over the Midshipmen while the Spartans topped the team, 71-65, as well.
