The 3rd-ranked Missouri Tigers return home to begin the final two weeks of the 2011-12 regular season, as they play host to the Kansas State Wildcats Tuesday at Mizzou Arena - where the Tigers are a perfect 15-0 this season.
Tipoff for the game is set for 6 p.m. (central time), with ESPN2 set for the live national broadcast..
The Tigers, winners of seven straight, are coming off a solid 71-62 win at Texas A&M last Saturday.
Mizzou enters the last two weeks of the regular season in a deadlock atop the Big 12 standings with rival Kansas, at 12-2.
Mizzou holds the tiebreaker for the time being with KU, thanks to its 74-71 win in Columbia on Feb. 4th.
Mizzou is looking to square the season series with K-State, as the Wildcats handed MU its first loss of the season on Jan. 7th, when KSU claimed a 75-59 win in Manhattan which dropped the Tigers to 14-1.
The Tigers own a 25-2 record through the first 27 games of the 2011-12 season, which is tied for the best start in school history - previously accomplished just twice before.
A win Tuesday against Kansas State would be historic in nature, as it would give Mizzou a 26-2 record for the first time ever.
No Tiger team has ever won 26-of-28 to begin the season. The previous two teams which stood 25-2 through 27 games both lost game #28.
