KIRKSVILLE,MO. -- The Truman State women's basketball team will be able to take out some frustrations on Wednesday evening against the Lady Bearcats of Southwest Baptist.

The Bulldogs lost a heartbreaker to Pittsburg State ending their 6 game winning streak.

The Bulldogs had opened the season 6-0 before falling to the Gorillas on Saturday afternoon 79-78.

Head Coach Michael Smith says he hopes his girls will carry that taste of defeat into Wednesday's game against Southwest Baptist.

"We got to focus and when the game is over you have to move on. You have to start preparing for the next game. That's what our players have to do right now. I hope they have a bad taste in their mouth from this tough loss on Saturday at home. We have to get ready and hopefully will be able to take it out against Southwest Baptist University on Wednesday," Smith said.

The Bulldogs will enter the matchup at 6-1 at 1-1 in MIAA play.

The Bearcats will come into Kirksville at a record of 3-3 and 0-2 in MIAA play.

Tipoff is set for 5:30 on Wednesday.
