(AP) - Let's skate two, anyone?
Looking to generate some buzz as the NHL preseason opens, the Florida Panthers are trying something new on Monday.
They're hosting a doubleheader against the Nashville Predators, something the team says is believed to be a first-of-its-kind event.
The teams will play Monday afternoon and meet again in the evening.
Because training camps just opened, there are more than enough players on both rosters to play a pair of games.
No one is expected to play in both contests.
For the Predators, it's the start of a two-day grind.
After Monday's games end, they'll fly to Baltimore for another preseason matchup on Tuesday against the Washington Capitals.
