(Truman Press)--The Truman women’s soccer team evened their record to 1-1 after defeating Central Oklahoma 2-1 on Sunday afternoon in Omaha, Neb.

Olivia Hays and Megan Buri each scored within three minutes of each other in the first half.

Hays’ goal came in the 23rd minute as she tapped in a feed from Alison Taylor for her first goal of the young season.

Buri then buried a shot in the upper left corner less than three minutes later to stake the ‘Dogs to the two-goal advantage. It was also Buri’s first goal of the season.

Both Jayne Grisham and Emily Bozdeck saw action between the pipes for the Bulldogs with Grishman making six stops in the first half while Bozdeck stopped three shots but allowed UCO to score on a loose ball scramble with 13 minutes left to play.

The Bulldogs had a 10-5 shot advantage in the first 45 minutes while the Broncos turned the table in the second half with 12 shots to Truman’s eight.

The team will head to San Antonio, Texas next weekend for a pair of regional games against the University of Incarnate Word and Abilene Christian University. First up will be Incarnate Word at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
