(AP) - Stephen Strasburg struck out four and allowed a home run Sunday in his first competitive game since undergoing Tommy John surgery last year.

Strasburg threw 1 2-3 innings for Single A Hagerstown against Greensboro.

Twenty-four of his 30 pitches were strikes, and the radar gun clocked him in the high 90s.

The 23-year-old right-hander underwent elbow ligament replacement surgery Sept. 3, ending his stellar rookie season for the Washington Nationals.

Strasburg struck out 14 in his major league debut and went 5-3 last year with a 2.91 ERA in 12 starts.
