(AP) -- Travis Pastrana's fans will have to wait to see his Nationwide Series debut.

After breaking his foot Thursday night at the X Games, Pastrana's spokeswoman says the action sports star will withdraw the No. 99 car from Saturday night's race in Claremont, Ind. It's uncertain when he will return to racing.

Stacie Fandel says Pastrana is expected to have surgery Friday, though it's unclear how long he'll be out.

NASCAR fans have eagerly awaited Pastrana's arrival, but his fan base goes deeper than just auto racing.

He's won 16 gold medals at the X Games, multiple supercross, motocross and rally championships and has become a fan favorite with his motorcycle and automobile jumps.

He is also interested in taking IndyCar's $5 million challenge at the season-ending race in Las Vegas.
