(AP) -- The Kansas City Royals have recalled outfielder Jarrod Dyson from Triple-A Omaha.

The Royals made the move before Tuesday night's game against Arizona.

Dyson hit .288, stole 14 bases and scored 27 runs in 29 games in the minors. He began the season with Kansas City and hit .167 while going 9 for 9 on steal tries.

Royals manager Ned Yost said left-hander Bruce Chen would be reinstated from the disabled list Friday and start against the Chicago Cubs.

He said Dyson would return to the minors when Chen is activated.

Yost also said rookie left-hander Danny Duffy, who left a Sunday start in the fourth inning with a leg cramp, would make his next start on Saturday against the Cubs.
