Texas beats Missouri 6-1, forces second game

OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) -- Brandon Loy had two RBIs and scored twice to lead Texas to a 6-1 victory over Missouri, forcing a second game to see which team would advance to the Big 12 tournament title game.

Loy went 3 of 4 at the plate Saturday as Texas (43-14) put up runs in the third, fourth fifth and seventh, capping he effort with two runs in the eighth off Missouri (26-31) pitching.

Loy stretched his hot hitting streak in the tournament. He is batting .588, going 10 of 17 from the plate with three doubles, four RBI and four runs scored.

Texas reliever Kendal Carrilo (5-1) took over for Sam Stafford in the fourth. Carrilo threw a season-high 3 2/3 innings, striking out six while allowing one hit.
