(AP) -- Iowa has announced the coach Lisa Bluder has signed a seven-year contract extension through 2018.

Athletic director Gary Barta announced the deal Tuesday. Financial terms of the contract were not immediately available.

Bluder has coached the Hawkeyes for the past 11 seasons, compiling a record of 211-132.

Bluder has been named the Big Ten's Coach of the Year three times, and she's led Iowa to the NCAA tournament in each of the last four seasons.

The Hawkeyes finished 22-9 in 2010-11 but were knocked out by Gonzaga in the opening round of the NCAAs.
