(AP) -- If there's an NFL record for acquiring the most leadership in the shortest time, it probably belongs to Kansas City.

A year ago, six of the seven players Scott Pioli selected in his second draft as Chiefs general manager were either voted by teammates or appointed by coaches as college team captains.

Every one of the rookies who played for the Chiefs last season were key to a six-game improvement and an AFC West title.

While the Chiefs are in need of help at several positions in this draft, look for Pioli to focus again on the character of his picks.
