(AP) --  Michael Vick and the Humane Society say an application built to run on Google's Android software glorifies dogfighting.

The app is called "Dog Wars" and lets players feed, water, train and fight their virtual dogs against others.

Vick and Human Society President Wayne Pacelle say the game could be used as a virtual training ground for would-be dogfighters.

They call for Google to drop the app.

The game is by Kage Games, whose website features an illustration of a pit bull with a bloody muzzle.

Vick's NFL career was interrupted after he was arrested in 2007 and convicted on dogfighting charges. He served 18 months in federal prison and is now the quarterback for the Philadelphia Eagles.

Google Inc. did not immediately respond to messages seeking comment.
