The Indian Hills golf team has claimed the top spot in the first Golf World/NIKE Golf Coaches’ Poll of the spring season.

The poll, released this week, combines the resources of Golf World magazine, NIKE Golf and the Golf Coaches Association of America.

Indian Hills received six of the eight first-place votes and 76 points in the poll for NJCAA Division I schools.

Odessa (Tex.) College was second with 65 points and Central Alabama was third with 64.

Both got one vote for first.

The Warriors are also first in the NJCAA DI ratings.
