Senior Jen Lawson finished all alone in fourth place at the spring season-opening Texas A&M-Commerce Invitational, held Monday and Tuesday at Tanglewood Golf Course.

Truman as a team finished eighth in the 15-team, all-regional field.

Lawson finished +15 for the event, firing a second-day 81 to back a day one 78 to finish just five shots off the two-way tie for first.

As a unit, the Bulldogs duplicated day one’s 349 with a similar score on the second day, counting Lawson’s 81, Jessica Tomash’s 87, Liz Lestmann’s 89 and Lynn Dreisilker’s 92.

Jessica Schepker turned in a 94, while Laura Heien carded a 108 as an individual.

The Bulldogs will be off until March 26-27, when they host the annual Bulldog Classic at the Kirksville Country Club
