COLUMBIA, MO. (AP) -- RaeShara Brown scored 14 points to reach 1,000 for her career and Missouri held on to beat No. 23 Iowa Sate 49-48 on Saturday.
The Tigers (13-17, 5-11 Big 12 Conference) were down by as many as seven points in the first half before rallying to take a one-point lead into halftime. The Cyclones (21-9, 9-7) pulled within one with 47 seconds to play but couldn't complete the comeback after committing a costly turnover in the closing seconds.
Kelesey Bolte, who leads the Cyclones in scoring at 17.6 per game, was held scoreless in the first half and finished with just five points on 2-of-11 shooting.
Christine Flores added 11 points and six rebounds for the Tigers, who snapped an eight-game losing streak against the Cyclones.
Anna Prins had 18 points and 10 rebounds for Iowa State.
