(AP) -- Kwadzo Ahelegbe scored 26 points,
shooting 10 for 19 from the field, as Northern Iowa topped
Creighton 71-66 on Wednesday night.

The Panthers (16-6, 7-3 Missouri Valley) pulled ahead for good
midway through the second half on a jumper by Ahelegbe. They led by
as many as nine points after that.

Anthony James added 14 points for the Panthers, who shot 44.8
percent from the field.

Antoine Young led the Bluejays (13-9, 5-5) with 23 points while
Doug McDermott added 16.

Creighton shot 35.7 percent from the field after that but
outrebounded the Panthers 34-23.
