Truman soccer coaches Mike Cannon and Duke Cochran have announced their team letterwinners from the fall 2010 season, which saw both the women’s and men’s teams reach the NCAA tournament for the first time in the same year since 2005.
Coach Cannon’s women’s squad finished the 2010 season with an 11-4-5 overall record and second-round finish in the NCAA Div. II tournament.
It was the ninth trip overall – and fourth straight – for the squad, which put four players on the MIAA’s first-team and two on the NSCAA all-region team.
Meanwhile, coach Cochran’s men’s team earned one of the two bids awarded to the South Central region and finished its season with a 12-3-2 overall mark.
The Bulldogs fell, 3-2, on the road to Midwestern (Texas) State in the tournament’s first-round but had four squad members named to the NSCAA all-region team – the most of any program in the region.
