Steen's late goal lifts Blues over Kings 6-4

ST. LOUIS (AP) -- Alex Steen scored the tiebreaking goal with 2:53 left and the St. Louis Blues beat the Los Angeles Kings 6-4 on Thursday night.

Steen scored for the fourth time in five games to send the Blues to their fourth successive win over the Kings. David Backes sealed it with a power-play goal into an empty net with 59 seconds to go.

St. Louis, which had lost seven of nine overall, is 10-2-2 at home. The Kings lost for the second time in six games.

Ty Conklin made 25 saves and improved to 6-1 in his career against Los Angeles.

The Blues rallied from a 2-1 deficit to take a 4-2 lead on successive goals by Vladimir Sobotka, Brad Winchester and Eric Brewer in the second period.
