PLAYA DEL CARMEN, MEXICO (AP) -- Jaime Printy scored 15 points and No. 20 Iowa routed Virginia Tech 72-43 Friday night in the Cancun Challenge.

Kelly Krei added 11 and Kamille Wahlin had 10 for the Hawkeyes (7-0).

Virginia Tech was able to close within 43-35 midway through the second half before Iowa went on a 20-2 run over the next 5 minutes to seal the win.

Iowa raced out to a 10-2 lead before Virginia Tech closed to 12-8 midway through the half. The Hawkeyes then scored the next 13 points, including five by Printy and a 3-pointer by Krei. They led 30-15 at the half.

Aerial Wilson scored 11 points to lead the Hokies (4-2).

While the Hawkeyes struggled from the field, they made 14 of 16 free throws.
