PLAYA DEL CARMEN, MEXICO (AP) -- Kachine Alexander scored 18 points, and Kamille Wahlin added 10 points and 11 rebounds in No. 20 Iowa's 67-61 comeback victory over James Madison on Thursday night in the Cancun Challenge.
Trailing by 10 midway through the second half, Iowa (6-0) rallied. Alexander's layup with 2:32 left gave Iowa a 58-57 advantage - its first lead of the second half.
Dawn Evans answered with a basket and then tied it at 61 with 1:01 left.
Kelsey Cermak converted two free throws with 34.6 seconds left and Wahlin and Jaime Printy each hit two more in the final 25
seconds to seal the win.
Printy had 16 points, making all seven of her free throws for Iowa, which was 27 for 30 from the foul line.
Evans scored 32 points to lead James Madison (2-2).
The Hawkeyes will play Virginia Tech on Friday.
