(AP) -- Laurence Bowers scored 23 points and Kim
English added 18 as No. 15 Missouri rolled past Harris-Stowe 114-60
in their exhibition opener on Friday night.

The Tigers used a 20-6 run to end the first half and pull away
from the overmatched Hornets who couldn't overcome the 59-27
halftime deficit. Missouri never trailed in the blowout victory,
shooting 45 percent from the field, including 41 percent from
3-point range.

The Tigers had five players finish in double figures and a
swarming Missouri defense harassed the Hornets into 27 turnovers,
16 on steals.

Newcomer Ricardo Ratliffe had 15 points and 10 rebounds for
Missouri, while freshman point guard Phil Pressey added 12 points
and seven assists.

Robert Mumphard led Harris-Stowe with 13 points on 4-for-10
shooting.
