Rennie, Northern Iowa top Illinois State 42-14

CEDAR FALLS, IOWA (AP) -- Tirrell Rennie ran for 153 yards and four touchdowns, and the Northern Iowa quarterback passed for another score to lead the Panthers past Illinois State 42-14 Saturday.

Rennie scored on runs of 10, 11, 47 and 1 yards for Northern Iowa (4-3, 3-1 Missouri Valley). He threw a 12-yard touchdown pass to Josh Collins for the Panthers' first score and Andre Martin returned an interception 62 yards for a touchdown.

Tyrone Walker scored both touchdowns for Illinois State (4-4, 3-3). Walker caught a 14-yard pass from Matt Brown in the third
quarter and hauled in a pass for 80 yards from backup Matt Lancaster with 13:20 to play for the Redbirds.

Rennie finished with 90 yards on 8-of-14 passing with one interception. Northern Iowa held Illinois State to 77 yards rushing
and sacked Redbird quarterbacks three times.
