EDMOND, OKLA. -- Junior Megan Buri broke a 1-1 tie with a game-winning goal in the 88^th minute of Sunday’s women’s soccer match, as the 24^th-ranked Truman Bulldogs knocked off Central Oklahoma on its home pitch, 2-1, in the finale of the UCO Invitational.

After UCO (1-1) took a 1-0 lead in the 35^th minute off a rebound, the Bulldogs tied it up in the 67^th minute when senior Beth Bystrom scored her second goal in as many days to equalize the score at one each. Bystrom’s goal was fed through on a pass from sophomore Olivia Hayes.

Then, with time winding down, Buri took a Bystrom pass and found the back of the net, guiding Truman to its first win of 2010 and finishing the weekend with a 1-1 record.

The Bulldogs outshot UCO, 14-11, in the match and held a 7-4 advantage on shots on goal.

Truman will open up conference play this coming Thursday when the purple and white host Northwest Missouri at the Truman Soccer Park at 4 pm.
