KANSAS CITY, MO. (AP) -- After an inaugural year of in-your-facemask screaming, Kansas City Chiefs coach Todd Haley has vowed to be a bit more mellow.
For someone who coaches with the intensity of a linebacker bearing down on a quarterback, it figures to be a tough transition.
Taught by one of the great screamers of a generation, Bill Parcells, Haley has filled his coaching career with fire. He had an ongoing feud with Terrell Owens in Dallas, a confrontation with Anquan Boldin during the NFC championship game at Arizona and numerous outbursts his first season as Kansas City's head coach.
Haley has lived up to his word and kept his cool, for the most part, during offseason workouts, but it might be hard to maintain once the season starts.
