KANSAS CITY, MO. -- Top-seeded Northwest Missouri State handed the Truman men’s tennis team a 5-1 loss in the MIAA tournament semifinals on Sunday morning at Clayview Country Club in Kansas City. The No. 2 doubles team of Peter Bracha and Steven Hipkiss logged Truman’s lone win, picking up an 8-6 victory.

The Bulldogs (10-7) trailed 2-1 after doubles action, before Northwest (20-4) wrapped up the match by picking up the first three singles matches. John Rothfusz took the first set of his No. 4 singles match to a tiebreaker but went down in straight sets.

With the matches being moved indoors due to weather, the Bulldog men will not play in the third-place match.
