OTTUMWA, IOWA -- Ottuwma’s semi-pro football team is getting ready to start their second season.

The Bridge City Knights have completed tryouts and are waiting for training camp to begin later this month on April, 27th.

The Knights have added some new players this year including former University of Iowa player, Jermelle Lewis, who they anticipate will bring some more punch.

The team has been doing more to prepare for this season as well.

“Off-season’s been a lot tougher than normal. We stepped up our conditioning and our overall training aspect of things so hopefully we will be a little better prepared for the entire season this year,” said head coach Chris Roda.

The team features three ex-college players you may want to keep your eye on in Lewis, Grand Dickey, and Richard Eckley.
