The Truman Men’s Tennis team moved above the .500 mark with an 8-1 victory over Central College (Iowa) on Thursday at the Truman Tennis Courts.  The Bulldogs will host William Jewell (Mo.) on Saturday morning.

Peter Bracha and Kyle Schlotz held off Central’s top doubles team of Dan Bowser and Bryn Boswell by an 8-6 score to wrap up a 3-0 lead for the Bulldogs heading into singles play.

From there, five of the six singles matches were captured by the ‘Dogs in straight sets as only Steven Hipkiss’ three-set loss to Seth Harris at number two being the only blemish on the Bulldog record for the day.

Truman is now 5-4 on the season with William Jewell at home on Saturday at 10:00 a.m. followed by a road trip to Missouri-St. Louis on Sunday at 1:00 p.m.
