CHASKA, MINN. (AP) -- Tiger Woods has teed off in the third round of the PGA Championship at Hazeltine outside Minneapolis.

Woods enjoyed a four-stroke lead at 7-under as he approached his first drive of the day. It ties for the second-largest lead at the
midway point in PGA Championship history.

Woods is playing with Vijay Singh, who was among five players tied for second at 3-under through 36 holes.  Defending PGA champion Padraig Harrington, U.S. Open champ Lucas Glover, Brendan Jones and Ross Fisher share second with Singh.

Phil Mickelson continues to show rust after missing most of the summer events while his wife and mother are being treated for breast cancer. Mickelson shot a 76 that left him 15 strokes off the pace as Woods began his round.
