(AP) -- The Iowa women's basketball team earned a No. 8 seed for the NCAA tournament and will face Georgia Tech Sunday at Carver-Hawkeye Arena.
If the Hawkeyes can beat Georgia Tech, they'll likely face top-seeded Oklahoma on Tuesday, March 24.
Georgia Tech (21-9) was upset in the ACC tournament by Clemson, 81-69. But the Yellow Jackets beat Michigan State and North Carolina this season and played No. 1 Connecticut close in November, losing 82-71.
This is the first time in 11 years that Iowa (21-10) will host NCAA tournament games.
Iowa lost to Georgia 67-61 in the first round of the NCAA tournament last season.
