LAWRENCE, Kan. (AP) - Danielle McCray scored 16 of her 24 points in the second half and pulled down 16 rebounds as Kansas snapped its four-game losing streak with a 58-47 win over No. 21 Iowa State Sunday.
After a close first half ended with Kansas ahead 26-24, McCray, who was 8-for-19 from the field, took over the game in the second as Kansas (14-11, 3-9). The Jayhawks outscored Iowa State 32-23 down the stretch and converted all 17 of its free throws in the second half.
Iowa State (19-7, 7-5) shot 27 percent for the game and had 12 turnovers. The Cyclones came into the game second in the Big 12 in 3-point field goal percentage, but converted only 3-of-16 3-pointers.
Kansas, which had lost four straight games, led most of the game. Iowa State never had a lead in the second half and the
Cyclones missed their last nine shots. Sade Morris added 16 points for Kansas.
Nicky Wieben led the Cyclones with 19 points and 7 rebounds.
