(AP) -- Iowa and Illinois will resume their border rivalry in football starting in 2015.

The Big Ten announced Monday that the Hawkeyes and Illini will play in Iowa City on Oct. 31, 2015, their first meeting since 2008.

Iowa will play at Illinois in 2016.

The Hawkeyes also say that their season-ending games against, Nebraska from 2013-16 are scheduled for Saturday kickoffs.

But Iowa athletic director Gary Barta and Nebraska's Tom Osborne will meet after this year's game to determine whether to continue playing on Friday instead.

Iowa could be in for challenging November slates in 2015-16.

The Hawkeyes play perennial contenders Penn State, Michigan and Nebraska in the final month of both seasons.
