Iowa Men Rally to Beat Gardner-Webb

Iowa men's basketball was in for a rude awakening Saturday night during the first half of their game against Gardner-Webb. Only scoring 18 total points, and shooting 20 percent in the first 20 minutes, the Hawkeyes went into halftime down by 20, with a score of 38-18. The second half was a different story.  The Hawkeyes rallied from their halftime deficit to beat the Runnin/ Bulldogs, 65-56. The win improves Iowa's record to 4-0 this season.

IOWA CITY, IOWA -- The Hawkeyes came out quick in the second half going on a 12-0 run over the first four minutes to cut the margin to 10.  Scoring a couple quick jumpers, adding sophomore Aaron White's six straight points Freshman Adam Woodbury followed with a field goal to cut the Bulldogs lead into single digits (38-30). Four Iowa players finished in double digits, Josh Oglesby and Aaron White lead the way with 13 points a piece. Oglesby went 50 percent from long range and shot 3-of-7 from the field. Oglesby his first double double of the season with his 13 points and ten boards.

Iowa returns to action Nov. 20, facing Western Kentucky in Cancun, Mexico, beginning at 8:30 p.m. (CT), there record stands at 4-0.
