IOWA- MISSOURI -- A winter storm watch has been issued for the KTVO viewing area from Saturday evening through Sunday evening.

Snow is expected to develop Saturday afternoon and spread over the area Saturday evening. Snow will be heaviest Saturday evening through noon Sunday.

Snow accumulations of 4 to 7 inches are possible in the watch area with locally higher totals possible along the Iowa and Missouri border.

Snow covered roads could lead to hazardous travel Saturday evening through Sunday afternoon.

A winter storm watch means there is a potential for significant snow amounts that may impact travel.
