(AP) -- SAN JOSE, Calif. (AP) - After winning the Atlantic 10 tournament title, Saint Louis will start the NCAA tournament Thursday against WAC champion New Mexico State.

The Billikens (27-6) were assigned a No. 4 seed Sunday after beating VCU to win just the second conference tournament title in school history.

Coach Rick Majerus left the team before the season because of health concerns and he died in December.

Interim coach Jim Crews has been in charge as the Billikens won the A-10 season and conference crowns.

The team tweeted that they watched Sunday's selection show from a Best Buy store in New Jersey after traffic kept them from the airport.

New Mexico State (24-10) is also making its second straight NCAA appearance.

The Aggies were also a No. 13 seed last season, losing to Indiana.
