UNIONVILLE, MO. -- Two Heartland high school students are in trouble with the law after a number of vehicles and other property were damaged.
Austin Vanhoutan, 17, and Briar Valentine, 17, both students at Putnam County High School, are charged with four counts of tampering with a motor vehicle, one count of second-degree burglary and one count of felony property damage.
Valentine has posted bond.
Vanhoutan remains behind bars in the Davies-Dekalb County Regional Jail on $25,000 dollars bond.
According to court papers, the two are accused of breaking out the windows of several vehicles, including three that belonged to Vanhoutan's parents.
The teens are also accused of breaking all the windows out of a house under construction at Lake Thunderhead, causing more than $15,000 in damage.
