KIRKSVILLE, MO -- This weekend Adair County 4-H held its member and leader dinner and recognition ceremony.

The event was held Saturday at the Kirksville Middle School where nearly 200 gathered to enjoy a potluck-style dinner, before honoring and recognizing many individual's involvements.

Michelle Klem, University of Missouri Youth Development Specialist , says she's been with 4-H for 23 years and the organization has been hosting the event since she's been a part.

"This is the time of year when we come together to reward our members and our volunteers for the involvement and successes they've reached in the 4-H program," said Klem.

The meal was provided by members and volunteers of 4-H, and Farm Credit Services donated the paper products.

The organization gives many scholarships for educational conferences.
