MACON, MO -- Two Macon teenagers are accused of chasing a juvenile down the street while holding weapons.

The Macon Police Department tells us a 10 year old was riding his bike on Jackson Street, when he was threatened by two older boys. Police say one was wielding a knife, the other, a hatchet.

Macon police originally believed only a 16-year-old juvenile was involved, but police later determined there was a second suspect. "It was also revealed during our investigation that a 17-year-old was also involved," said Macon Police Chief Steve Olinger. "He was there when the first occurrence occurred, but was also involved in other occurences in chasing citizens in a car or sidewalk with other weapons."

Police say Mason Ray Doyle, 17, Macon, was the one wearing a black ski mask carrying a hatchet. Reports reveal Doyle has been seen wearing a black ski mask inside his high school.

We reached out to the Macon R-I superintendent, but he did not want to comment.

Chief Olinger tells KTVO that this occurrence was the first reported incident. However, as they continue to investigate, they're finding out this is not the only one.

Doyle was arrested Monday and faces a charge of unlawful use of a weapon.

Doyle is being held at the Macon County Jail without bond because the judge determined he poses a threat to the community.

The 16-year-old juvenile was turned over to Macon County juvenile authorities.
