HOLLY HILL, FLA. -- Police in Florida say a former Kirksville man was murdered during an argument over pork chops.

It happened late Tuesday night in Holly Hills, Florida.

The Daytona Beach News-Journal reports

Robert Gray, 38, formerly of Kirksville, was shot to death by one of his roommates as they argued about the best way to prepare pork chops.

Gray lived in Kirksville approximately six years ago.

The newspaper reports that the man accused of shooting gray is Thomas Hahn, 55, a man known for renting out rooms to people trying to recover from drug and alcohol addiction.

According to police reports, the two men's other two roommates told officers that Hahn had made the comment that he was going to shoot Gray if he came home drunk Tuesday night.

The News-Journal reports that when Gray got home, he and Hahn started arguing and yelling about how pork chops should be cooked.

Police said that's when Hahn shot gray three times, twice in the head.

Hahn is charged with one count of 2nd-degree murder.
