Break-in at residence ends with arrest

Charles Kain of Milan charged with assault

KIRKSVILLE, MO. -- A northeast Missouri man is behind bars charged with illegally entering a Kirksville residence.
 
Charles Kain, 23, of Milan, is charged with first degree and a misdemeanor charge of assault in connection with the incident. He is being held in the Adair County jail under $75,000 cash only bond.
   
According to court papers, Kain is accused of entering a residence in the 500 block of East Jefferson. It is then alleged that Kain struck both the male and female living at the location.
   
Kain does not have a court appearance set at this time.
