OTTUMWA, IOWA -- The Salvation Army in Ottumwa received quite the generous donation on Friday.

All of the meat donated Friday will go towards the Salvation Army’s feeding program.

“Everyday Monday through Friday at noon we have a good meal for seniors, nice nutritional meals. We average about 50 to 75 seniors here at our building everyday and then we deliver anywhere from 125-150 meals everyday as well through Meals on Wheels,” said Captain Oliver Knuth, Corps Officer.

Captain Knuth said he is very appreciative of the generous donation and this will greatly help their feeding program.
