(AP) -- It has become a holiday-time staple in St. Louis, and the annual "Braggin' Rights" basketball game between Illinois and Missouri will continue for at least another five years.

Athletic officials from the two schools announced the extension of the series through at least 2017 during a news conference Thursday in St. Louis.

The games will continue to be played at Scottrade Center.

Illinois holds a 20-11 series advantage in the late-December St. Louis games, but Missouri has won the last three meetings.

Before that, Illinois won nine straight from 2000 through 2008.
