The Missouri football team held a scaled-back practice in full pads Wednesday morning, as the team makes final preparations for the second major scrimmage of fall camp, set for Thursday morning at Faurot Field/Memorial Stadium.
The Tigers worked out for an hour-and-a-half today on the Kadlec Athletic Fields, and afterward, they were treated with the news that the afternoon practice was called off in order to allow the team to go to the movies.
They will have the choice of seeing either The Bourne Legacy, or The Campaign.
One day after giving up their stronghold of the black jerseys, the defense came back with a strong day to claim the win.
Once again, it was a tight competition down to the final period, but the defense won the last stretch to claim a two-point win.
A few highlights of the day included:
Heading into the last period of the day, the defense held a one-point lead, and play started with the #1 defense going against the #2 offense.
The defense won the first four plays to take a 4-0 lead. DT Sheldon Richardson was involved in a couple plays, one in which he met TB Russell Hansbrough in the backfield for a loss.
Next up, the #1 offense came out against the #2 defense, and Franklin again hit McGaffie for a 5-yard gain, but DE Brad Madison stayed home on the next play to snuff out an off-tackle run by TB Kendial Lawrence, holding him to no gain.
