(AP) -- Alex Morgan headed in the game-winner in injury time of extra time to give the United States a thrilling 4-3 win over Canada in women's soccer semifinals at the Olympics.

The U.S. came from behind three times to earn a meeting with Japan Thursday in the gold medal game.

The United States mens basketball team defeated Argentina 126 to 97.
 
 
Jenn Suhr has given the United States a gold medal in the women's pole vault at the Olympics.

She cleared 15 feet, 7 inches meters to end the bid of Russia's Yelena Isinbayeva to become the first woman in track and field to win the same event in three consecutive Olympics.
 
 
Michael Tinsley has won the silver medal in the men's 400-meter hurdles at the London Olympics.

He finished second to the Domimican Republic's Felix Sanchez who also won the gold medal in Athens eight years ago.
