(AP) -- Carlos Villanueva pitched six shutout innings, Yunel Escobar drove in two runs and the Toronto Blue Jays beat the Kansas City Royals 4-1 Wednesday night.

Every Blue Jays starter had at least one hit as Toronto won for the fourth time in six games.

The Blue Jays are 6-1 against Kansas City this season and have won nine of the past 12 meetings dating to 2011.

Jeff Francoeur's RBI triple in the seventh provided the only run of the game for the Royals, who have lost five of six.
